everynight before i go to sleep i listen to usher's new album 'here i stand' on my ipod. there's something so comforting and soothing in being lulled into sleep by his beautiful and gentle voice.
the songs on the album are just amazing.
he starts strong with FORVER YOUNG. its got a real harsh and hard tone to it.
then there's the club anthem - LOVE IN THIS CLUB. unlike YEAH, which was hip hop, this one is more R n B. lower and slower beats. more love - less dance. and the part II to it LOVE IN THE CLUB feat. BEYONCE is a song to be kept away from the kids. usher and beyonce sing about where in the club they could "DO IT."
some songs are extremely sexual in content and so good you can almost taste the deliciousness dripping from the words he sings. Ah .. there's the THIS AINT SEX, TRADING PLACES, LOVE YOU GENTLY and LIFETIME.
then there are the more personal songs. songs that are about him wanting to be unfaithful to his wife - APPETITE
MOVING MOUNTAINS is amazing. the beats are just beautiful - indescribable.
PRAYER FOR YOU features his sons crying noises - the album is so personal that he has his son on it.
this entire album is my favorite
after a long time there has been an album which i can listen in full and not be bored or not have to skip tracks.
it took him a while but finally usher is back.
