'Daffodil'
So, why did a tulip call itself a daffodil? Because, Everybody Lies about who they really are.

Un
DeuxThis distortion of 'Society' is called 'Disfigurement' and is dedicated to the Monster in My Mirror and the Madness within Me.

'Disfigurement' portrays how the mirror should truly reflect us in Un; and how the mirror deceives our eyes in Deux.

Mirrors are tricky by nature.
Never trust them.
It was a wise person who said once, "Never trust your reflection," how right he is.

Yours in Death,

Vampire Girl

My Artwork Part IIIA

Inspired by Camilla Morton's 'A Year in High Heels'' October and based on the famous Ralph Waldo Emerson quote "Society is a masked ball, where everyone hides his real character, and reveals it by hiding."

I dub this very special piece, 'Society'; in memory of Ralph Waldo Emerson, may he rest in peace.

His immortal words still hold true. We, the living and the undead, reside in a world where no one truly shows who they are. The most concealed, perhaps, are us Vampires - shunned to live our deaths among the living and behind a veil of secrecy.

Yours in Death,
Truly hidden,

Vampire Girl

My Artwork part II

A little something I made as a personification of my mentor - A Vampire true to our nature.

My Artwork Part I

A Homage to my life-long style icon - Madame Audrey Hepburn.

Breakfast at Tiffany's is the ultimate character a woman can aspire to portray, even the un-dead kind.
I had the honor and privilege of being at the premiere in London on the 19th of October in 1961. It was a beautiful event and everyone was dressed in the most exquisite of draperies and dress gowns. A true White Tie event, if I remember correctly. Ms. Hepburn in her Holly Golightly hairdo was a sight to behold. An awe-inspiring woman, who in her prime was like Medusa, whosoever set their eyes upon her could not look away. The difference was that one was not turned to stone when one looked away, but surely such a travesty never happened.

Held at the Plaza, the menu included stuffed celery hors d'oeuvres, shrimp cocktails, the finest of Louis Roederer's Cristal Champagne and delectable waiters and waitresses. A true celebration and all for a noble and charitable cause.

In the honor of Holly Golightly, whenever I have let a stray cat become a permanent resident in my lair, I have called it "Cat" because "I'm like cat here, a no-name slob. We belong to nobody, and nobody belongs to us. We don't even belong to each other."

Cheers to all the Living.
Bon Appétit to all the Undead.

The Taste of Vampirism pt. 1

Hello World~
before i dive into my carefully prepared monologue, because today i speak for my entire race, i would like to get a few things straight

Vampires DO NOT:

1/ turn into bats - that's just an old wife's tale to scare kids of perfectly harmless and cute creatures like bats. so they spread rabies, so what - right?

2/ fly - well, some do. but, flying is a skill that come with age. I'm 108 and i still can't fly, i can sort of hop or jump long distances and i run really really fast .. but that's pretty much it.

3/ drink just blood - we drink blood, yes .. and though our diet is mostly liquid, we do consume other things.

4/ disintegrate (thank you TruBlood?!?!) or catch on fire in the sunlight.

5/ sleep in coffins (where in the world did that even come from?) - just because we're dead doesn't mean we sleep in coffins, i can't even imagine the mothballs and the dust, yuck - as a human i was allergic to dust.

6/ sleep in freezers (really, Moonlight?!?!?!)

7/ kill humans - we were homo sapiens once too and though the human race can be boring at times, we don't kill them unless provoked, or extremely hungry - which ever comes first.

8/ eat uncooked animals a la Brad Pitt in Interview with a Vampire - because that's just .. gross!

9/ bleed tears - (again, really TruBlood?!?!). But, the bloody tear thing might be true, i wouldn't know because i haven't cried since i was turned .. it's just not natural to us.

10/ abhor garlic and onions - we kinda like them actually

11/ live forever - that would be cool though. But we do live a long time, not forever. if i hadn't as long as i have, i would have missed up on all of man's greatest inventions. the list could go on and on, on all the things that i love - which i would never have got to see if i hadn't lived this long.
  • rockets
  • the internet
  • frozen pizza
  • ipods, or the mp3 format
  • GPS
  • watches - but time doesn't mean much to us
  • the yo-yo, that was a good one
  • warfarin - a common blood thinner
  • instant coffee - which sucks (no pun intended). ofcourse, i prefer ground coffee made in my French Press
  • the French Press ... come to think of it.
  • Computers
  • the slinky
  • BlackBerrys - the phone, not the berry.
  • the microwave
  • bluetooth
  • Louis Vuitton's Stephen Sprouse collection
  • TV shows.. beautiful
  • also HD TV!
  • mass printed paper/hard back books
  • credit cards - a man made plastic card to dig yourself a deep grave of debt.
  • barbie .. i couldn't have missed that for the world.
  • post it notes
  • liposuction
  • Viagra (homo sapiens need to keep up)
  • Adidas shoes
  • Jimmy Choos shoes
  • Cosmopolitan magazine
  • menthol cigarettes
  • Lady GAGA
  • Usher - that boy is dreamy and delicious ;)
So, these are the things we do not do.
Remember, i speak for my race but i do not make generalizations. some of us are vicious, but so are some humans. how else would you explain terrorists or news reporters or paparazzi?

I leave you, for now, with these words:

Everything fades,
Nothing remains,

Except ME.

Yours in Death,
Vampire Girl

Hello World~
well, i have been promising this post for a while now, and vampire's always stick to their word. so today, all of you are going to finally know what it is to be a vampire.
you've read books and comics, seen tv shows and movies and all of them contradict each other.
there's the Twilight and the True Blood.
The Anne Rice books.
And ofcourse, there is Bram Stoker's Dracula, And the Tanya Huff series.
And so many more that I can't even count.

So, forget all that you have read, heard or seen about Vampires; because this Vampire girl is about to set the record straight - once and for all.

Here i am, Back Again.

hello WoRLD~

you know, i haven't posted in a little over 2 years. I've been busy, with all the sleeping during the day and hunting for unsuspecting targets at night. then there's the exsanguinating.
all in all, life is hard for a vampire girl in this day and age.
people start to notice if you sleep all day long so i decided to be active during the day, attend college full-time.
i protect my skin by wearing a thick layer of make-up and huge sunglasses that make me look like a bee.

but, Dubai in the Summer is HOT.. searing HOT, and i mean HOT! and i can't help my skin getting a little burnt. it gives me sort of an almost burnt toast look.

The nights are long, but not long enough.
cant quite seem to fit in all that i want to do in the night-time hours.
since i decided that it was time for me to face my fears and let go of the bitterness i have always felt, at being turned, i've managed to turn my life around.
i get to experience so many things that i never did.. i get to see the sunrise and the sunset. i get to experience people outside my house, out in the world, all sorts of people.
i never thought i needed people, but as the Funny Girl once said, "people who need people, are the luckiest people in the world." i remember when that movie opened in theatres. it was 19 September 1968 and i was the first one in the house to watch the 7.40 show. i sat behind this brunette that probably never saw or deserved what came to her.
but, that is a story for another time.

right now, i welcome you back to my world.
my macabre world of darkness, death and self-destruction.

for now, i leave you with these six words:

Everything fades,
Nothing remains.

Except ME.

true in death,
Vampire Girl.
